Easy and Delicious Custard Whipped Cream Pie by an Unconventional Mom

Using a food processor and air fryer makes pie crust preparation easy and fast.

I love custard whipped cream pie, and I used to have a favorite pie store where a whole pie was only $15. However, the price has now increased to over $20 after tax. Determined to enjoy my favorite treat without breaking the bank, I decided to try making it myself. Surprisingly, it turned out incredibly well, and I never realized making pie could be so easy. The crust is super flaky and buttery, and both the custard cream and whipped cream only take a few minutes to prepare. Now, I freeze the pie dough in the pie mold, allowing me to whip up a delicious pie whenever the craving strikes. This recipe is perfect for those with limited time who still want to enjoy a healthy dessert. I’ve also discovered that using an air fryer to bake the pie is a quick and efficient method, taking only 20 minutes. I’ve included the link to the air fryer I’m currently using, which happens to be on sale now. Find the detailed recipe on my blog.

You can decorate it however you like—whether it’s with your favorite fruits, shaved chocolate flakes, coconut flakes, or anything else. If you’re a fan of bananas, you can add them with custard cream to create a delightful banana whipped cream pie. This is a fundamental pie recipe. Typically, I prepare two batches of pie dough, wrap them, and freeze. When I crave a pie, I take one out of the freezer, let it sit on the counter until it’s soft enough to roll, then place it in the mold and bake.

  3. Place plastic wrap on a surface, put the dough on it, and wrap it. Refrigerate for at least two hours.
  4. Roll out the dough and place it in the pie mold. Using plastic wrap can make this step easier; simply flip it over to place the dough.

Note: The baking time may vary due to the powerful nature of my air fryer. If using a conventional oven, it might take longer. Adjust accordingly based on your appliance.

My oven is used for storage, and it takes a long time to heat up. So, I typically use an air fryer for baking or frying. It’s much faster and doesn’t require a lot of space. I’ve tried several different air fryers, and this GoWISE air fryer is the best! I recommended it to my friends, and they loved it too. Currently, it’s on sale for $79.30, including tax. If you’re looking for a compact oven air fryer, I highly recommend it.” Its dimensions are 12.75″D x 13″W x 14″H. Although it came with various accessories, I only used the grill and a few baking sheets. I wanted to cook quickly, clean up swiftly, and have more time to relax, so I even preferred to skip the time spent on attaching accessories.
