- 8 slices of sandwich bread (4×4 inches each)
- 20g of butter
- 3 tablespoons of sugar (you can add more if you prefer it sweeter)
- 1 large apple or 2 small apples
- 1/2 teaspoon of cinnamon
- Granulated sugar

- Cut the apple into your desired size.
- In a heated frying pan, add butter and sauté the apple. Add your preferred amount of sugar and cinnamon, and sauté until the apple becomes tender. If the mixture starts to dry out or looks like it might burn, add a little water.
- Flatten the sandwich bread slices using a rolling pin.
- Make diagonal cuts on one half of the bread slices.
- Place the sautéed apples on the half of the bread slices without cuts.
- Fold the other half of the bread slices over the apples, aligning with the cuts, and press the edges with a fork to seal. *If you want to make it look neat, use a knife to cut the edges (left, right, and top) of the apple pie straight.
- Brush the surface with beaten egg and sprinkle some granulated sugar.
- Toast the sandwiches for about 5-7 minutes until they have a light golden-brown color and the sugar has caramelized slightly. *Since the apples are already cooked, adjust the toasting time based on your preference for texture and color.
