The air fryer has been a lifesaver for me in daily meal preparation. I first started using it about six years ago. I was drawn to the idea of being able to make crispy fried potatoes with less oil, so I did some research and purchased a typical drawer-type air fryer. Although it has since been discontinued, it was compact yet powerful, perfect for a family of three to four. Since having a child, I’ve had more time dedicated to cooking, and my repertoire of dishes has expanded. I even started making my own bread.
I believe that a healthy body starts with the food we eat. With that in mind, I wanted to have a better understanding of what goes into my meals. I love using my air fryer because it saves me time and hassle. Unlike my oven, which I use as a makeshift storage space for pots and pans, the air fryer is a game-changer. I love the fact that I don’t have to go through the hassle of emptying it out every time I want to whip up a delicious meal. Plus, it’s a real time-saver when it comes to preheating—no more waiting around impatiently! It’s become my go-to kitchen companion for quick and efficient cooking, making my life a whole lot easier. With the air fryer, I can start cooking right away without any extra steps. It’s a convenient and time-saving solution for my busy lifestyle.
Through various trials and research, I discovered some tips and tricks that might be helpful when choosing an air fryer. I would be delighted to share them with you.
Quiet, Spacious, and Easy to Clean: The Perfect Air Fryer for Cooking for up to 6 People!!!
The air fryer I’m currently using is incredibly quiet! It’s also convenient because I can connect it to Alexa for easy operation. The controls are straightforward and user-friendly. The dimensions of the air fryer are 16.3″D x 16.9″W x 15.5″H, providing ample space to accommodate items from the oven. The inner dimensions allow for items measuring 13″D x 12″W x 7″H. I have no issues fitting the Staub Blazer Two-Handled Pot, 24cm. However, I’ve encountered a slight challenge with the Le Creuset rice cooker as its lid handle interferes with the oven, so when I make bread, I use the lid upside down.
There are two types of air fryers when it comes to the placement of the heating element: those with the heating element only on the top, and those with heating elements both on the top and bottom. This becomes particularly important when baking bread or similar items. Having heating elements on both top and bottom ensures even heat distribution and prevents situations where the bottom of the bread is undercooked.
Based on my previous experience, I opted for an air fryer with a different type of heating element. Instead of coil-shaped, it has a parallel line heating element. This design change was motivated by the difficulty of cleaning oil residue that tends to accumulate on coil-type heaters. With the new parallel line heating element, cleaning has become incredibly easy. Any oil stains left after use can be easily wiped away with a quick swipe.
Of course, considering that I am currently using it myself, if you are currently searching for an air fryer, I highly recommend this one due to its affordable price, size, ease of cleaning, and user-friendly operation.
Delicious Grilled Lamb Made Perfectly in the Air Fryer
I absolutely loved the GoWISE air fryer. It was a hit among my friends as well. The best part was that it didn’t take up much space, yet offered a wide range of uses. Its dimensions are 12.75″D x 13″W x 14″H. Although it came with various accessories, I only used the grill and a few baking sheets. I wanted to cook quickly, clean up swiftly, and have more time to relax, so I even preferred to skip the time spent on attaching accessories.
I used this air fryer to make a variety of dishes every day, and it was incredibly convenient. It could quickly turn frozen French fries into crispy delights.
When grilling steak, lamb, or vegetables with a grill pan, the flavors are absolutely amazing. If you don’t have access to a large grill, I highly recommend getting this air fryer to achieve a smoky restaurant-like flavor in your cooking.
After using it almost daily for about five years, one day the power no longer turned on.
Perhaps the cord had become worn out from excessive use…?
This is an absolute recommendation for those who don’t want to take up counter space or who want to cook quickly. If you’re sensitive to noise, you might find it a bit loud, but other than that, it’s perfect!
Compact, Stylish, and Multi-functional: The Perfect Small Oven Air Fryer
This air fryer reminds me of my previous GoWise model, but it’s slightly smaller in size, measuring at 3.5″D x 13″W x 14.5″H in dimensions.
It has an adorable appearance, and just like my current one, it features parallel electric cords on the top and bottom, making it easy to clean. The menu buttons are straightforward and user-friendly. I decided to try baking bread with this air fryer, and I was impressed by its quick and perfect results without the need for preheating.
I truly loved using it, but unfortunately, I had to return it because my Le Creuset rice pot didn’t fit inside. Since I often
bake bread using the pot, I needed a little more height. Nonetheless, it’s a fantastic air fryer
if you’re in search of a small, efficient, and feature-packed oven air fryer, this one is definitely worth considering.
Ninja AF101 Air Fryer
To be honest, I haven’t personally used this product. However, since the one I used before is no longer available, and based on the assumption that if I were to buy a drawer-type air fryer now, I would like to introduce this product. The brand is also “Ninja,” which adds to its reliability. It is compact in size, measuring 8.5″D x 12.1″W x 11″H. It is perfect for small or large families who usually use an oven but want a convenient option for quickly preparing frozen foods or crisping up takeout french fries. I believe it would be a great addition to your kitchen.
